Ree Drummond’s Granddaughter Sofia Visits Her First Rodeo—See the Adorable Family Photos!
This was absolutely her first rodeo!
As the newest member of the Drummond crew, it should come as no surprise that Ree’s newest grandbaby, Sofia, made her first trip to the rodeo alongside her ranching and wrangling family! The adorable bundle of joy stole hearts when her mom, Alex Drummond, shared a glimpse into their night at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo in Texas over the weekend, and it’s safe to say that Sofia had the time of her life. At merely a month old, this little rancher in the making had her first taste of the cowgirl life—and this time around, it really was her first rodeo! Alex Drummond shared her sweet family’s night on the town
Alex Drummond has followed in her beloved mom’s footsteps when it comes to sharing bits and pieces of her life with the world, and since welcoming her sweet Sofia Marie, we’ve loved seeing her navigate motherhood and family life as she acclimates to life with her new bundle of joy. On her Instagram story, Alex brought us along with her and her family as they enjoyed an evening alongside her sister Paige, Paige’s fiance David, and her little brother Bryce, who was thrilled to meet his newest niece for the first time.
The crew was all smiles in the posts shared to Alex’s social media, and who wouldn’t be enjoying an evening at the rodeo with a date as cute as little Sofia?! While their night was a thrill, with Sofia sporting a pair of headphones to block out the volume of the crowd, Alex was sure to show the reality of life with a newborn with a few hilariously adorable details.
“Getting out of the house feels like an Olympic sport these days,” Alex wrote in a caption over a photo of her, her husband Mauricio, and a teeny-tiny Sofia while attending the rodeo (a diaper bag in tow), “but loved having a lil night out with my fam!” Amongst all the chaos that a new baby brings, enjoying time with loved ones (and adults!) is a necessity!
Alex also gave us a chuckle when she revealed that her wardrobe plans for little Miss Sofia went awry in true newborn fashion. “We had the cutest little ‘rodeo’ themed outfit for her and she spit up all over it right before walking out our door lol,” the new mom wrote in the caption of an Instagram story she shared of her holding Sofia in her arms. While we certainly would have loved to see the baby in her cutest cowgirl ensemble, she looked just as adorable in a light pink onesie.
Alex Drummond enjoys some family time
Alongside her siblings, the Drummond crew seemed to have had a great night on the town, with Paige Drummond also sharing an adorable snapshot of her and Sofia at the event. As for the baby’s first rodeo, the adorable baby girl seemed pretty unbothered—pictured sound asleep in nearly every photo shared! While the cowboy life might not be of much interest to her now, we can’t imagine she can snooze on it for much longer!
