The Pioneer Woman’s Family Tree: Meet Ree Drummond’s Kids, Sisters—and Baby Sofia!

If you’re as obsessed with Ree Drummond—a.k.a “The Pioneer Woman”—and her family as we are, then you’ve probably found yourself wondering at one point or another, “Wait, which sister has the baby again?” or “Who’s Ree’s oldest kid?” Well, you’re in luck, because below we have compiled the entire Drummond family tree, including sisters, spouses and more that will help break it all down. Ree Drummond’s parents: Gerre Schwert and William Douglas Smith
Gerre Schwert is Ree’s mother, and while there isn’t a whole lot of information about her out there, we do know that she loves to spend time with her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren! Gerre was married to William Douglas Smith, but they got divorced in the 1990s. They had three children together—Ree, Betsy and Michael—but the latter died back in 2021.
William “Bill” Douglas Smith is Ree’s dad and a retired surgeon. Similar to his ex-wife, though, he prefers to live his life out of the spotlight, but has been seen in various Instagram posts made by Ree.
Ree Drummond and Ladd’s marriage
Ree is the woman who started it all, and we love her for it! She is 56 years old, has two siblings, is married to a man named Ladd Drummond and shares five kids with him—which includes the son they fostered back in 2018. She has had one grandchild named Sofia, whom she loves more than anything.
“She [Sofia] is perfect. I’m saying that with as much objectivity as I can. But I’m not kidding…she is perfect. Like, if you looked up ‘perfect’ in Merriam-Webster [dictionary], it would reference Sofia Scott and maybe even show a photo of her,” she wrote on her website back in December of 2024.
Her husband Ladd, is a 57 year old cattle rancher and longtime husband of Ree. The two met at a bar and have been married since 1996. Unlike his wife, Ladd prefers to spend his time on the ranch and not on social media. However, that doesn’t mean Ree doesn’t post about him and his family’s adventures all the time.
“Ladd and I always wind up together on the couch in the evenings, no matter how busy we’ve been throughout the day. We both have a soft spot for old Westerns, any of The Godfather movies and ’80s flicks,” Ree said on her website in January 2021. “We’re on the same page with snacks, too. Queso for us and popcorn for the kids!”

Meet Ree Drummond’s siblings: Betsy and the late Michael Smith
Michael was Ree and Betsy’s older brother, who tragically died back in 2021.
“It isn’t possible to sum up the life of someone as perfectly wonderful as my brother Michael, so right now I won’t try. He was 17 months older than me, my first friend and buddy, and I’m so grateful for over 50 years of photos and memories. Please pray for my parents, whose devotion to Mike was boundless, and who will feel this loss most acutely. Michael Smith, you were everything,” Ree said at the time of his death.
Betsy Lee Smith is Ree’s younger sister, whom she often gushes about on social media.
“Betsy, my eternally youthful, joyful, brilliant, generous, selfless, hilarious sister!! Best, I love you more than I could ever articulate, and the idea of a world without you in it does not even compute. I seriously can’t fathom it,” Ree wrote on Facebook back in September of 2024.
Betsy is married and has one son named Elliot, who loves Ree a whole lot.
“I know one reason is that having a sister who loves my child about as much as I do and would do anything for him is a source of endless gratitude,” Besty wrote on Instagram in February of 2022. “The other thing, though, is that she has this way, with kids and teens, of making them feel appreciated in an easy, genuine and pure way. She delights in connecting with them. It’s an art and a practice and a gift, and I’m glad he has that in his life. I’m always a little sad that he can’t see her every day or every week. But we’ll take what we can get. Love you forever, Aunt Ree Ree and Schnarks!”
The Drummond kids: Alex, Paige, Bryce, Jamar and Todd
Alex Drummond
Alex is Ree and Ladd’s oldest daughter. She is 28 years old and has been married to a man named Mauricio Scott since 2021. Flash forward to 2024, when they welcomed their daughter Sofia together, who—let’s be honest—is probably the most loved member of the Drummond clan.
“December 18, 2024. At 2:27 a.m., our perfect girl made her arrival a couple weeks early, just in time for Christmas! We are so in love and forever changed. Thank you, Lord,” Alex wrote the day of Sofia’s birth.
Since then, Alex frequently posts pictures of her daughter both by herself and with her grandmother.
Paige Drummond
Next up is Paige, a 25-year-old daughter of Ree and Ladd, who recently got married to a man named David Andersen.
She was the second Drummond child to get married, and over the past couple of months, she has been revealing more and more about her special day. She is also a key cast member in the family’s newest show, Drummond Ranch, which debuted earlier this year and showcases how life on the ranch really works.
“Ranch life is glamorized on TV,”. Paige said on her mother’s website in August 2024. “You see people riding horses and it looks wonderful. If you could ride your horse all day, every day, everyone would want this job. But 90 percent of the time it’s just hard, hard work. You’re getting kicked, you’re getting crap on you, you’re fixing fences, you’re doctoring cattle… It’s a time-consuming, exhausting—yet rewarding—profession.”
Bryce Drummond
Bryce was Ree and Ladd’s first son. He is 22 years old and in the midst of a legal battle that began after he was caught driving while intoxicated. Now, he cannot drive for 180 days, but is working to get that overturned by the state of Oklahoma.
Aside from that. Bryce is a college football player at Oklahoma State University. He is believed to be single.
Jamar Goff
In 2018, Ree and Ladd became foster parents to a kid named Jamar Goff, and while they never formally adopted him, that hasn’t stopped the Food Network star from sharing how much she loves him.
“Fostering a kid was never something Ladd and I pursued or felt called to do, but Jamar’s circumstances presented themselves to us in a way we couldn’t ignore,” she wrote in her 2020 book Frontier Follies. “Long story short, all six foot five inches of him showed up at our house one afternoon, bag in hand, ready to move in.”
Goff is currently 22 years old and plays football at the University of Central Oklahoma.
Todd Drummond
Todd is Ree and Ladd’s youngest child. He’s 21 years old and, similar to his brothers, plays college football, but at the University of South Dakota.
“He’s got a great adventure ahead of him, between school and football and new friends and experiences, and Ladd and I will be his biggest cheerleaders,” Ree wrote on her site back in 2023.
As of publication, it’s believed that Todd is still a college student at the University of South Dakota.
Meet Baby Sofia Scott: Ree Drummond’s first grandchild
Born on December 18, 2024, Sofia Scott is the youngest member of the Drummond clan. Her parents are Pagie and Scott and her grandparents are Ree and Ladd—all of whom definitely spoil her based on various social media posts.
