Starbucks’ not-so-secret menu is making its way onto the app… finally!
How to find the secret menu
Starbucks Rewards loyalty program members will find the new menu under the “offers” tab in the Starbucks app, starting with four fresh drinks: Cookies and Cream, an upgraded Dragon Fruit Lemonade Refresher, Popping Pearl Tea, and a White Mocha Shaken Espresso. Starbucks is adding these drinks to the app starting today and fans can expect more to come, according to a July 14 press release.
It’s hard to pinpoint exactly when the secret menu began, but fans have been concocting and sharing their twists on Starbucks classics since the 2010s. The secret menu has since become an informal collection of fan-made recipes, mixing syrups, toppings and roasts. Many of the drinks have catchy names like the Cinderella Latte, Butterbeer Frappuccino and the Mermaid Matcha.
The announcement comes just months after Starbucks announced they’d be simplifying their menu “to focus on what sets Starbucks apart — a welcoming coffeehouse where people gather, and where we serve the finest coffee, handcrafted by our skilled baristas.”
The release said that they were going to remove “a selection of less popular beverages and food” that can be complex to make or too similar to other products already on the menu.
The secret menu is also coming on the heels of Starbucks introducing three new Strato Frappuccino flavors: The Brown Sugar Strato, The Strawberry Matcha Strato and The Salted Cream Mocha Strato. New food items and syrups are also appearing this summer, making for more combinations and options for coffee drinkers everywhere.

The coffee chain announced its secret menu competition, starting today. Submit your favorite customized drink through July 20 on the Secret Menu Contest Page. The top four drinks will be voted on August 18-20 on the Starbucks Instagram page. The four finalists will receive $5,000 each and their drinks will be featured on the Secret Menu from August 18-20. And if that’s not enough reason to enter your drink, the Grand Prize winner will get an additional $25,000.
