One Cast Member Reveals He Wont Be in ‘The Madison’ Season 2: Here’s What We Know
The Paramount+ drama is coming back for more—and the cast has already wrapped filming!
We still might be one day away from the release of the brand new Taylor Sheridan show The Madison, but that hasn’t stopped Paramount from already deciding to renew the show for Season 2. That’s right, small screen lovers. Madison is officially returning for a second season, and below we have everything you need to know about the cast, plot and potential release date.
What we know so far about ‘The Madison’ Season 2
The Madison follows the Clyburn family after they decide to move from New York City to Madison. Since Season 1 isn’t out yet, there is no information available as to how that journey will end, meaning that it’s hard to figure out what Season 2 will be about.
That being said, according to the cast, not only do they know what happens, they’ve already filmed the next season.
“We shot Season 2 already,” Ben Schnetzer, who plays Van Davis on the show, told Woman’s World earlier this month. “We just wrapped it not long ago and I’m incredibly excited to share both seasons with an audience. It was a real thrill to be able to come back and revisit these characters and revisit this story, and revisit this beautiful landscape that we filmed in.”
“Working on this show was as fun as you would imagine,” he continued. “Being able to learn from and work with these folks was an absolute gift. It was such a thrill and so much fun and so enriching. They’re so good at what they do, and it’s challenging, but they also make sure that you show up to work feeling confident, which was a real highlight of this job for me.”
Star Kurt Russell has also hinted at the Season 2 filming scheduling, telling Entertainment Weekly In January that they had to work around his very busy schedule to pull it off. =
“I did the second season of Monarch [Legacy of Monsters], the Apple TV show, and unfortunately for me, the timing was when Madison came around,” Russell said. “And I said, ‘There’s just no way to do it,’ because I was working on this show.”
“Michelle Pfeiffer and Taylor were able to get together with the people at Paramount+ and said, ‘Well, let’s do two seasons instead of just one. And then before we start the second season next year, instead of doing that, we will start with Kurt’s stuff. We really do want him to play the guy. And we’ll get his first season out of the way first, and jam all that in there, and then go into the second season and do that.’ And so we were able to do that,” the actor concluded.
Who will be in ‘The Madison’ Season 2?
As of publication, all of The Madison cast will be returning for Season 2, with the exception of Matthew Fox.
“This is a contained experience for me in the show, and I’m very happy about that,” Fox, 59, told TV Insider earlier this week about his future on the show. “It’s been an incredible experience.”
