Meet the New Stars Joining ‘The Pitt’ Season 2—From ‘Shrinking’ Favorite to Fresh Faces
From 'Shrinking' star Luke Tennie to new attending physician Sepideh Moafi, here's your cast guide before the premiere tonight
If you’re a fan of medical dramas, then there’s a good chance you’ve been obsessing over The Pitt, anxiously anticipating the Season 2 premiere, which airs tonight at 9 p.m. Following the healthcare workers who make up the fictional Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center, this gritty HBO series portrays a realistic look at what life is truly like for doctors and nurses on the job. While the series is led by Noah Wyle, who brings to life attending physician Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, his character is supplemented by an outstanding ensemble of actors that paint a picture of the folks who show up to work each and every day and save lives. While fans are excited to see familiar faces like Wyle, Katherine LaNasa, Patrick Ball, Fiona Dourif, Supriya Ganesh, Taylor Dearden and more Season 1 favorites return, there are also a handful of new actors and actresses shining in Season 2. Here, meet The Pitt’s new cast members.

Perhaps the most significant character joining the cast of The Pitt is Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi. With Dr. Robby planning on taking a sabbatical, Dr. Al-Hashimi is set to replace him—but her early arrival allows Dr. Robby to get a glimpse at her approach to the job and desire to shake things up—much to his dismay. Outside of The Pitt, you might recognize Moafi from shows like The Deuce or The L Word: Generation Q. Tune into The Pitt Season 2 to see how things unfold between her character and Dr. Robby!
Luke Tennie as Dr. Crus Henderson

While fans of The Pitt are excited to meet the new characters shaking up Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center, some viewers might already be familiar with Luke Tennie, as he’s shined brightly over the last few years on the Apple TV comedy Shrinking.
