Based on the books by Janette Oke, the hit Western series follows Erin Krakow’s Elizabeth Thatcher, a vibrant young teacher assigned to work in a tight-knit mining town, not long after a tragic accident killed dozens of men who worked in the mines. Over the course of 12 seasons, fans have enjoyed witnessing the evolution of Hope Valley, its residents and the community that’s been built over the years. ‘When Calls the Heart’ Season 13: Everything we know so far
Though there haven’t been a ton of details revealed about the 13th season of When Calls the Heart, fans have already started connecting the dots about what they hope is next. With Elizabeth, Nathan, Allie and Little Jack having headed to Cape Fullerton with Elizabeth’s mom, Charlotte, there’s much that could unfold in the coming episodes. “Nathan is always just trying to remind Elizabeth that she doesn’t have to do it alone,” Erin Krakow told Swooon. “Elizabeth has been a single mom for many years, and I mean, obviously, she has a lot of help from her friends in Hope Valley. But Nathan is quick to remind her that he can be her rock. He’s going to be there for not just Elizabeth, but Little Jack as well. That’s very much on display in Season 13.”

A new teaser also gave a glimpse into developing storylines for characters such as Lucas and Edie, Oliver and Allie and Georgie and Bill.
Who’s returning to Hope Valley in Season 13?
Erin Krakow makes her return as Elizabeth, with Kevin McGarry back as Nathan Grant. Fans can also expect to see familiar faces like Pascale Hutton, Chris McNally, Jack Wagner, Kavan Smith, Viv Leacock, Natasha Burnett, as well as Brooke Shields, 60, who plays the part of Charlotte.
