See These ‘Yellowstone’ First Look Images for Part 2 of Season 5: Your Favorite Characters Are Back!

Kayce, Monica, Tate, Beth and Rip make their return this November!

It’s official folks — the first look at the upcoming season of Yellowstone is officially here — and we have a lot of feelings about it. In two exclusive photos shared by USA Today at the start of their Yellowstone first-look week, none other than Beth and Rip take center stage.

The stunning image features Kelly Reilly leaning against Cole Hauser as Rip and Beth are  illuminated by the warm glow of the sun. With Reilly looking as stunning as ever and Hauser embodying the role of Rip so effortlessly, we truly cannot contain our excitement over this upcoming and final installment of the famed Paramount Network hit following the Dutton family.

In the second photo shared as part of USA Today’s Yellowstone first-look week, we see the beloved Kayce standing alongside his wife Monica, played by Kelsey Asbille, and his son Tate, played by Brecken Merrill.

While it’s hard to say exactly what’s going on in the photo from the hit western series and its upcoming season, it seems as if it’s full of emotion. On top of that, we can’t help but notice how much Merrill has grown since his early days of playing Tate!

What’s on the horizon for Beth and Rip in the final episodes of ‘Yellowstone’?

The beloved couple have most certainly made their mark on fans over the years, and we can anticipate that in this new season of Yellowstone, they’ll continue to shine.

However, there are a lot of external forces that could complicate things for the duo, one of those things being Beth’s tumultuous relationship with Jamie, as well as the secret she’s been keeping from Rip about what Jamie did to her.

Additionally, the absence of Kevin Costner’s John Dutton – and how the show will proceed without him – is another looming issue that will likely alter Beth’s character in the upcoming installment.

The status of Costner’s return hung in the air for some time, before creator Taylor Sheridan broke his silence on the final Yellowstone episodes and his thoughts on the leading man.

My opinion of Kevin as an actor hasn’t altered,” Sheridan said of Kevin Costner’s return and ultimate decision to walk away from the show to The Hollywood Reporter. “His creation of John Dutton is symbolic and powerful…and I’ve never had an issue with Kevin that he and I couldn’t work out on the phone. But once lawyers get involved, then people don’t get to talk to each other and start saying things that aren’t true and attempt to shift blame based on how the press or public seem to be reacting. He took a lot of this on the chin and I don’t know that anyone deserves it.”

Additional cast members have remained relatively tight-lipped about Costner’s exit after the season 4 finale.

In recent seasons, Monica, Kayce and Tate have endured quite a bit. From Kayce’s season 4 vision quest in which he saw “the end” of them to Monica tragically losing her baby, it’s been a tumultuous few years for this couple, and at the end of the day, it’s their strength and love for one another that has allowed them to prevail time and time again. But how much, exactly, can a couple take? We’ll just have to tune in to part two of season 5 to find out!
