A cookie shaped like a bagel isn’t something you see every day, but if you happen to find yourself at Crumbl next week, you may spot one. The popular cookie chain is re-releasing their highly controversial Almost Everything Bagel cookie for April Fool’s Day, and whether you love it or hate it, bringing it back for everyone’s favorite prank day is nothing short of iconic. To learn more about the cookie’s return, including how fans reacted to the treat the first time it came around, keep scrolling!

What we know about the ‘Almost Everything Bagel’ Crumbl cookie

The almost everything bagel Crumbl cookie was first launched in 2022, and it was met with controversy. Some people loved it, and others hated it, with one Facebook user writing, “I was looking forward to trying this cookie and was not disappointed, though it didn’t particularly stand out to me in terms of flavor either. It was pleasant. I would probably get it again just to have a nice palate cleanser from other Crumbl cookies that, for me, tend to veer slightly on the side of too sweet.”

Others said it was “wild in a good way,” but if they had to grade it they would only give it a six out of 10.

“We’ve all gotten accustomed to a sweet cream cheese frosting, but this one is just like a whipped cream cheese,” the review continued. “It really brings that bagel sense across. I think that if this were a crispy cookie, it really would take that ‘facsimile’ to the next level, but I don’t think I’ve ever had a crispy Crumbl cookie before.”

The 2022 launch was the first and only time the cookie was available—until now. Crumbl just shared that on Wednesday, April 1,  the Almost Everything Bagel cookie will be coming back for one day only—this time it will look like a bagel, not like a cookie.

According to the company, it will come with “Two thin, buttery cookies coated in an almost everything bagel blend, sandwiching a light cream cheese filling.” It’s going to be sweet, crunchy and perfect for April Fool’s Day.

What else will be at Crumbl next week?
