Elena Dent, PhD, RDN, CDCES, DipACLM, is an associate professor of interdisciplinary health sciences at Augusta University. She completed her dietetic training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and received a master’s degree in biomedical science and a PhD in physiology and biophysics from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She has been a registered dietitian for 14 years where she has practiced in many clinical settings and holds advanced certifications as a diabetes care and education specialist and in lifestyle medicine.
