Raquel Lekic

Raquel Lekic is an Editorial Assistant at Woman’s World and First for Women. A self-proclaimed pop-culture fanatic, Raquel covers mostly entertainment and celebrities for both brands, with an affection for topics such as Hallmark, 90s and early 2000s television and romance movies.

Raquel earned a bachelor’s degree in communication with a concentration in journalism and a minor in creative writing from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. She honed her craft throughout the duration of her college experience, contributing to student publications and studying the ins and outs of magazine writing, ultimately crafting her voice as a writer. Prior to diving into the professional magazine world head-first, she served as the design editor of her college’s literary magazine, Mosaic. On top of her work on the production end, she also lent her editorial skills to the team. Additionally, her work could be seen in the student-run paper, Marist Circle, where she covered topics ranging from on-campus events to new music releases.
