11. The Voice (2011 – Present) 

Four musical icons compete against each other for the opportunity to mentor aspiring singers in the hopes of turning them into the next big singer. The Voice is hosted by Carson Daly and is currently on its 25th season with John Legend, Dan + Sha. Chance the Rapper and Reba McEntire serving as the coaches. It airs on Monday nights on NBC.

10. Married At First Sight (2014 – Present) reality TV shows

Currently in its 17th season and counting, Married At First Sight follows different couples who get married — you guessed it — at first sight. A team of spiritualists, relationship coaches, and sociologists pairs them up based on a scientific matchmaking method. After they say “I Do,” the couples are given eight weeks to get to know each other and decide whether they want to stay married or get a divorce.

9. Shark Tank (2009 – Present) 

Business executives such as Kevin O’Leary, Mark Cuban, Rovery Herjavec, Lori Greiner, Daymond Barbra Corcoran and others serve as “sharks” who meet with aspiring entrepreneurs hoping to generate substantial financial interest in their companies. What happens next is brutal honesty, bidding wars, and massive amounts of money being given away. It’s 15th season is currently airing on NBC.

8. Survivor (2000 – Present) reality TV shows

Survivor is not for the weak of heart. Contestants are flown to a faraway island with only the clothes on their backs to compete in brutal challenges against each other and nature. The prize? One million dollars. Jeff Probst has hosted the show since its first season in 2000. Survivor is currently in its 46th season.

7. Selling Sunset (2019 – Present) 

Featuring drama, glamour and strong women, Selling Sunset follows the real estate agents of The Oppenheim Group as they try to sell the most lavish and expensive homes in Los Angeles. But it’s not all fun and games, because these ladies aren’t here to play; in fact, they are coming for blood … and money.

6. Love on The Spectrum (2022 – Present) reality TV shows

This heartwarming dating show follows seven young adults who are all on the autism spectrum and decide to dive into the scary and unpredictable world of dating.

5. Love Island USA  (2019 – Present) 

This reality dating show is based on a UK series of the same name. It takes viewers to an island filled with single people competing in games and other challenges in the hopes of drawing attention to themselves. But will the drama become too much for them, or will they leave in love? Only time will tell. Love Island USA’s fifth season aired in 2023; its newest season is currently in the works, with Ariana Madix hosting.

4. Impractical Jokers (2011 – Present) 

Get ready to laugh out loud with a reality TV show that follows four best friends (Sal, Joe, Murr, and Q) who compete in hilarious pranking competitions against each other. All four jokers are best friends in real life and are currently filming their 10th season in the New York City metropolitan area.

3. The Amazing Race (2001 – Present) 

Teams of two with preexisting relationships travel the globe and engage in a competition of both brains and brawn. While it might be physically and emotionally draining, the winning team gets one million dollars if they make it across the finish line. Phil Keoghan hosts The Amazing Race

3. Dance Moms (2011 – 2019) reality TV shows

Competitive dance may not seem dramatic, but this reality TV show proves that view wrong. Dance coach Abby Lee Miller has one goal: get her junior elite competition team to win a national title. But will the mothers get in the way? Filled with fights, makeups and a team you can root for, this show is a classic. A reunion featuring the original team is expected to premiere on May 1.

1. The Bachelor (2002 – Present) 

Rounding out the best reality TV shows is none other than the original reality dating show, The Bachelor. About 30 women go on elaborate dates and travel around the world, all in the hopes of getting the bachelor to get down on one knee and propose.

The show became so popular that it has three spin-off shows: The Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise and The Golden Bachelor. Season 28 of The Bachelor followed Joey Graziadei on his journey to find love, and it aired earlier this year.
