Nearly a year after the late Carrie Fisher revealed she and her Star Wars co-star Harrison Ford had an affair during the movie's filming, Harrison has opened up about their past romance. "It was strange. For me," the 75-year-old actor admitted to GQ in the magazine's October issue.
Carrie — who sadly passed away at age 60 in December 2016 — previously wrote about her secret, three-month fling with Harrison in her memoir, The Princess Diarist. At the time, the actress claimed she gave Harrison a heads-up that she was publishing the details of their affair. When asked by GQ if he truly knew about the story going public, Harrison replied, "Um, to a degree. Yes. You know, with Carrie's untimely passing, I don't really feel that it's a subject that I want to discuss."

In her book, Carrie recalled becoming romantically involved with Harrison when she was just 19 in the late 1970s. The actor was 33 years old and married to Mary Marquardt — with whom he has two children — during their affair. "It was so intense. It was [Han Solo] and [Princess Leia] during the week, and Carrie and Harrison during the weekend," Carrie wrote, referring to the duo's characters in the hit space epic.
"I was so inexperienced, but I trusted something about him. He was kind," Carrie said, adding she and Harrison ended their relationship after Star Wars filming ended. "How could you ask such a shining specimen of a man to be satisfied with the likes of me?"
