Our Jalapeño Cheeseburgers Recipe Is Packed With Spice + Preps in 25 Minutes
These beef patties get a flavor boost from the fresh chili pepper and various seasonings
Spice up your BBQ spread with this Jalapeño Cheeseburgers recipe! It uses ordinary burger ingredients such as ground beef, mayonnaise and cheddar cheese. However, the classic sandwich gets a spiced twist thanks to fresh jalapeño, which is minced and added to the ground beef mixture. The best part about this recipe is that you can make and shape these kicked-up patties up to a day ahead. Just be sure to store the patties covered in the fridge until you’re ready to cook them.
You can tweak this recipe by making them into Hawaiian Burgers. Simply swap in jerk seasoning for the cumin and grilled pineapple slices for the cheese. Then, you can continue with the recipe and have a batch of sweet and spicy burgers before you know it. Serve the burgers with simple sides like fries or a salad. Alternatively, you can enjoy them with staple BBQ sides like any of these potato salad recipes or this Spicy Coleslaw recipe.
