I love roasted chicken and Feel Good Foodie’s Air Fryer Whole Chicken recipe makes it simple for me to enjoy it year-round. No heating up the kitchen with a hot oven, no jumbo roasting pans to hand wash. Just a handful of spices, a touch of olive oil and your air fryer is all you need to take a dinner staple from ho hum to yum! Yumna Jawad created her Feel Good Foodie website because she wanted to serve her family healthy meals. And the air fryer is the ideal appliance to help you deliver delicious dinner.

For Feel Good Foodie’s Air Fryer Whole Chicken recipe, Yumna shares a few tips: “Make sure you pat the chicken dry before air frying so the olive oil and spices stick to the bird. After air frying, let the chicken rest for 10 minutes so it more of the juicy flavor stays in the bird.” Want to keep trying new recipes in your air fryer? We love this easy appetizer that’s perfect for a casual get-together or your next watch party.

Prep chicken: Allow chicken to come to room temp. for 30 minutes and pat it dry with paper towels.

In small bowl, combine olive oil, paprika, thyme, garlic, salt and pepper, then use your hands to rub it all over chicken, making sure to get underneath the skin as well. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F and spray basket with olive oil spray.

Place chicken breast side down in air fryer basket and cook for 30 min. Carefully flip over chicken and cook, breast side up, for 20–30 min. or until internal temperature of the thickest part of the breast reaches 165°F.

Let cooked chicken rest for 10 min. Transfer bird to serving platter and, if desired, garnish with thyme sprigs before carving and serving.
