Meet Lorraine Spektor: The Genius Mind Behind the Top Luxury Gaming Table Brand

Article written in partnership with Eric Smith

Women have always had it more challenging when it comes to business. It doesn’t matter if it is about life, money, or work. However, as we all know, staying focused on the noise is counterproductive. Lorraine Spektor, founder, and CEO of Elevate Customs, is a person who refutes prejudices with her hard work and experience, which can be seen through the community she created through her social media.

Lorraine says, “The women in my family work very hard, and I’m no exception. I was taught at a young age that if you want something in life, you have to work for it.”

Rocky beginnings

Lorraine explained how her business idea was born, “We were working in the interior design business. For quite some time and constantly needed a high-end, modern-style gaming piece. That is how it all started.”

Lorraine continues, “my husband and I were never lucky enough to find what we needed. But we decided to fulfill this niche and make it our big goal. Thanks to that, we now provide custom gaming pieces.”

After Lorraine saw how difficult it is to be a woman in the business world and run a business like hers, she became even more motivated. No one said that making her dreams come true would be easy, but she never gave up. Being a woman in a world full of prejudices is a more challenging path, but not impossible.

Lorraine grew up in West Hollywood, California, in an immigrant family. From a young age, she loved sports. She played basketball, tennis, and soccer and was very competitive, always striving to win. On building a business

“Although my past is entirely unexpected for a woman, I never knew what my passion would turn into. But I was hoping my persistence would be rewarded one day,” says Lorraine. “It doesn’t matter if you fail or don’t do things people expect from you as long as you are doing what you love,” Lorraine explains.

Her business offers handmade, intricately designed gaming tables. Also, those tables can be purchased alongside a whole family, creating the perfect gaming table experience for any home, office, or space. Lorraine explains, “You will not be stuck with a pool table and wonder where to get a matching shuffleboard table. You can find it all under one roof.”

Lorraine built her business on the premise that those interested can own their own unique and luxurious gaming table as part of their interior. The specialty of their products is reflected in the commitment to fulfill her client’s wishes, explains Lorraine. “We can turn any client’s idea into reality. They get their every idea implemented,” she says.

Elevate Customs’ does not only take pride in its manufacturing but also its client relations. Lorraine said, “she wishes for her clients always to feel comfortable in their needs and wants.”

Lorraine says that blending modern art statement pieces with perfect functionality for her client’s needs brings her the most satisfaction. By offering custom craftsmanship and stunning designs for those looking for high-end gaming tables, she found the ideal combination of passion and business. Lorraine believes this brings the whole family together and impresses everyone, unlike the other generic pieces offered on the market. To Lorraine, this approach brings the most investment to furniture and interior.

Luck is a concept that Lorraine never depends on. She says, “Giving birth to my three beautiful children and a $500.00 scratcher were my lucky moments.” Lorraine continues, “as a mom of a seven, six, and newborn, I find myself trying to balance a business and still be the best mom I can be. I believe that a successful business is built on hard work and dedication.”
