Paige Drummond’s Wedding Shower With Fiancé David: The Pioneer Woman Shares Her Favorite Moments
Of course, some of Ree’s top picks included her granddaughter, baby Sofia!
It continues to be an exciting season of life for the Drummond family, and the group celebrated yet another milestone this past weekend. Ree Drummond’s daughter, Paige, and her fiancé David Andersen shared a couples’ shower two months ahead of their upcoming wedding, and the party was filled with lots of love. Keep reading for everything Ree shared about the event!
Paige Drummond and her fiancé enjoyed a wedding shower
Paige and David, who got engaged last summer, had a joint pre-wedding party on March 8 in Oklahoma (where the Drummond ranch is located). In a new post on her blog, The Pioneer Woman, Ree shared some of her favorite moments and photos, reflecting on the happy memories.
“I wanted to share photos from Saturday night’s party, which was hosted by three of my closest friends, Hyacinth, Beccus, and Connell,” she wrote. “The food was amazing, the company was fun, and Baby Sofia was there to celebrate her aunt…even though she didn’t quite know it yet.”
Ree said she felt overwhelmed with all of the love and romance even after the weekend, and is becoming incredibly excited as the wedding approaches. However, she was sure to note that she’s glad the wedding is still two months away, half-joking that she needs to get on her rowing machine so she can zip up her mother-of-the-bride dress when the day arrives!
“Again, such a great weekend,” Ree gushed. “I’m grateful for all the love Paige and David have in their lives. It’s all we can hope for, that our kids are supported and buoyed as they start this grand adventure. And it will definitely be an adventure!”
Ree’s favorite moments from the shower
The Food Network host teased more photos to come over the next few days, but shared plenty of sweet moments for the time being. This included snaps of Paige and David with their bridesmaids and groomsmen, with Ree joking about the couple having a huge wedding party and group of friends.
And it seems the soon-to-be-in-laws get along wonderfully, as Ree captioned a photo of the couple with David’s mom: “She’s the best.” In one of Paige’s recent posts on her mom’s website, she confirmed that David’s mother, Heather, gets along really well with Ree, even sharing that they text all the time!
Of course, no Drummond family gathering is complete without Sofia, and Paige and David’s shower marked the three-month-old’s adorable first meeting with Ree’s dad! The latest addition also posed with Ree’s mom and her husband, Sofia’s parents Alex and Mauricio along with her aunt Paige and soon-to-be uncle David.
Paige and David’s love story
Now for a quick recap of the lovely couple’s journey together until this point. Paige and David were friends in college, when she went to Arkansas and he attended Oklahoma State. They had a lot of mutual friends, and made the leap into a relationship in July 2023, one year after Paige graduated.
That fall, David met the Drummond crew! He and Paige went to a concert in Tulsa, Oklahoma and stayed at the ranch.
“David is an outdoorsy guy and he loves this lifestyle, and my parents were really welcoming,” Paige wrote on her mom’s blog. “They’ve always trusted me to choose a good guy, and he is! He’s funny, very caring and honest. And of course he loves the dogs.”
During David’s first Christmas vacation in Vail with the Drummonds, Ree included David in an annual tradition where she buys the guys matching pajamas.
“My mom is very goofy, and David totally appreciates that!,” Paige said.
Last summer, the couple attended a friend’s wedding, and Paige caught the bouquet! She recalled David acting very nonchalant, but looking back, she thinks he had already made the decision to propose to her at that point. Indeed, David proposed to Paige in August 2024!
“On the day we got engaged, I thought I was going out for a special dinner with my roommates, but instead they drove to this beautiful park,” Paige said. “As soon as I spotted David, my stomach turned upside down because I was so surprised. But then I got out of the car, and it was just perfect.”
Many of the pair’s loved ones who attended their shower were also there to share the festivities when they got engaged. And, Paige shared a glimpse at the couple’s plans for the future, which she thinks will include the Drummond ranch.
“We’ve never lived in the same city; by the time David got to Dallas, I was working in Pawhuska,” Paige shared. “He is a construction engineer who oversees sites, and we’re leaning toward being in Dallas for a few years after the wedding. The ranch is always going to be here. I think it’s where we want to end up long-term.”
