There are dating shows, and then there are dating shows that cater to the cowboy lover in us all—and who wouldn’t choose the latter? On March 20, the all-new season of the hit reality television series, Farmer Wants a Wife, will premiere with its third season, and viewers can expect a brand new batch of hunky farmers looking for love in the heartland. Here, all about the new season, the new contestants joining the cast and what fans can expect.
What is ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’ about’?
If the title doesn’t give it away, Farmer Wants a Wife is a reality dating show that centers around four men looking for love set against the backdrop of the wide-open country. Hosted by Kimberly Williams-Paisley, actress and wife of country singer Brad Paisley, we will get to know a new set of bachelors looking for love and the women who are hoping to capture the hearts of one of these cowboys. Over six weeks, each farmer will get to know the cluster of women after his own heart and decide who is the one for him. Selecting five women to live with him on his farm, this series is always sure to entertain.
“The third season will dive deeper into the beauty and trials of homegrown love, and new twists will put relationships to the ultimate test. Along the way, the farmers and their daters hit the road as they travel to Alabama for a speed dating event, Tennessee for a country ball and Texas for an overnight camping mixer,” explained a press release. “As the ladies immerse themselves in the realities of farm life, some will blossom while some will head out to pasture, and only time will tell if they have the patience, spirit and adaptability required to be a farmer’s wife.”
Meet the cowboys looking for love
Matt Warren
A 30-year-old avocado and exotic fruit farmer from California, Matt is looking for love in someone who understands his lifestyle. It was only a few years ago when Matt dove deep into the farming lifestyle after a tragedy shook his family, but he’s been devoted ever since. With nine nieces and nephews, Matt is looking to build a family of his own.
Jay Woods
Farmer Jay from Alabama is 25 years old and grew up on his grandfather’s farm. Though he had pro football aspirations, an injury sidelined his ambitions, and while it forced him to reevaluate his plans for the future, it allowed him to return to his farm roots.
John Sansone
Twenty-five-year-old John’s farm has been in his family for six generations, and this St. Louis, MO cutie is looking for love. In addition to farming, John is studying for his law degree and also enjoys fishing and nighttime frog gigging.
Colton Hendricks
A divorced dad to a two-year-old son, Colton is looking for the right girl to come along and join his family. The cattle rancher and horse trainer from Arkansas is ready to find his forever in one of the women on his farm this season.
