Take a peek inside the hangout inspired by the police procedural
In celebration of Law & Order’s 25th season, a new diner is coming to New York in honor of the legendary police procedural series. The Dun Dun Diner will open for a limited time, allowing fans to step into the Law & Order universe.
“The “Dun Dun Diner” will immerse fans in the universe of the iconic franchise in an experience inspired by the quintessential NYC hangout for hard-working detectives,” the official site shared.
Grab a burger or a shake at the Dun Dun Diner and imagine you’re winding down from a grueling case just like your favorite Law & Order characters.
About the Dun Dun Diner
Named after the iconic series that launched an entire TV universe, the Dun Dun Diner comes from the hit show’s famous “Dun Dun” sound. The diner will be an immersive experience from NBC and Peacock in collaboration with NVE Experience Agency.
This is the next collaboration after the successful ‘Law & Order Station’ in Boston last year, as well as the transformation of Rockefeller Plaza into Olivia Benson Plaza for the the 25th anniversary of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
At the diner, you can expect some of your favorite classic diner foods available to order, as well as Law & Order memorabilia for decor. There will also be limited-edition merchandise available at the pop-up.
When will the Dun Dun Diner be open?
If you’re an avid viewer of Law & Order and enjoy tuning in to see your favorite detectives, you’ll definitely want to get a booth at the Dun Dun Diner. Unfortunately, this pop-up experience will only be around for a short period of time, so you’ll want to make sure to get in while you can.
The Dun Dun Diner will open up on Friday, October 3, 2025 but it will only be there for the weekend, until Sunday, October 5, 2025. On Friday, the hours are from 1 PM to 7 PM ET, and on October 4th and October 5th, you can head to the diner between 9 AM and 7 PM ET.
The experience opens just a few days after the season 25 premiere of the show, which airs on September 25th. This marks 35 years of Law & Order, as the first season premiered back in 1990.
How to book reservations at the diner
The Dun Dun Diner will be open to the public with reservations, which are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Reservations opened up on September 19, 2025 at 12PM ET. Currently, reservations for the Dun Dun Diner Fan Experience are sold out but continue to check as things can potentially change.
If you don’t score a reservation, you might also be able to catch a glimpse of the diner from the outside if you’re in the area.
