Mysteries come in all shapes and sizes, but the ones we love most are the cozy kind—small town settings, hardly ever too gruesome and perfect to watch while cuddled up on the couch under your favorite blanket while sipping a hot cup of tea. With so many streaming and premiering on television, it can be hard to keep up with which ones are worth your while, but on April 23, you’re going to want to mark your calendars for Sugarcreek Amish Mysteries premiering on UPtv. Here, read everything there is to know about this exciting new whodunnit.

What is ‘Sugarcreek Amish Mysteries’ about?

Sugarcreek Amish Mysteries follows the life of Cheryl Cooper. After a failed engagement, she makes her way to the quaint community of Sugarcreek, Ohio, where she takes on a job managing a local gift shop. Soon enough, Cheryl finds herself sucked into mystery after mystery within Sugarcreek, and while she’s advised by law enforcement to bud out, she can’t help but lend her skills—and unique perspective as an outsider—to the cases at hand. Cracking cases throughout Sugarcreek and working at the gift shop might take up most of her time, but the community proves to fill her life in other ways as new relationships and friendships blossom for her, as well as the possibility of romance.
