Miranda Lambert is showing off her newly slimmed-down curves at award shows after an impressive 45-pound weight loss journey. Although we loved her former fuller figure, her firmer physique is quite impressive. The best part about her new look: She’s revealed that she feels happier at her new size–the ideal goal for any weight loss journey, right?
How did Miranda Lambert lose weight?
Her tricks for slimming down and staying lean are actually shockingly simple. The “Vice” performer has confessed that in 2012, she started making a few tiny changes to her hectic lifestyle to leave some room for health and wellness.
“I lost my weight the healthy and good old-fashioned way: Watching what I eat and working out with my trainer,” Lambert said.
But of course, since she’s a celeb, the rumor mill started spinning in late 2016 when she showed up to the red carpet looking significantly slimmer than before. Critics claimed that she did a crazy crash diet–and even got weight loss surgery. So in true Miranda Lambert fashion, she shut down the false allegations–and sent a great message of body positivity to her fans and followers for good measure.
She said, “It’s not about a scale. It’s about how you feel and how your jeans fit. I am proud to be a normal size girl and I want to encourage everyone to be confident at any size.”
We couldn’t agree more! And the best part about Miranda Lambert’s 45-pound weight loss? She still reportedly enjoys going out for meals and drinks out with friends, and doesn’t abide by any strict diet or workout routine. Phew! We’re so relieved to hear Miranda never responded to the pressure Hollywood folks are under to all look impossibly thin. She’s beautiful at any size–and her beautiful attitude toward weight loss is something worth applauding.
