And Sandra’s spiked take on this slice of heaven is a nostalgic nod to my Midwest upbringing. 

What makes this tipple extra-special is the frosty rim around the lip of the glass. Sparkling sugar or finely grated desiccated coconut create a wintry feel while you stay nice and toasty indoors. Ingredients

  • hanukkah
  • 3 oz. vanilla-flavored vodka
  • 2 oz. Irish cream liqueur
  • 2 oz. coffee liqueur
  • 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
  • Pinch cayenne pepper
  • Decorator's sugar or unsweetened desiccated coconut (optional)

Instructions

If using, place sugar or desiccated coconut on small plate. Dip rims of 4 martini glasses in water then sugar or coconut; invert.

Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Combine half of remaining 6 ingredients  in cocktail shaker. Cover and shake until very cold. Strain into 2 glasses; repeat with remaining ingredients.
