Easy Sesame-Orange Baked Chicken Wings Recipe Is a Crispy-Outside Tender-Inside Delight
Fruity jam is the secret ingredient in the savory-sweet glaze
I always order a big plate of fried chicken wings at my local pub – the crispy skin and tender meat are simply addictive. And while buffalo wings are delicious, you can customize this starter with all sorts of fun glazes and toppings. That’s what inspired our Sesame-Orange Baked Chicken Wings recipe. They turn out just as delectable as the restaurant version but without all that messy deep-frying.
Our quick-prep marinade combines sesame oil, chili sauce, soy sauce and orange marmalade. The jam thickens the mixture and helps it cling to the wings. Then we brush on more marinade during the last few minutes of cooking to create a tangy-sweet glaze. The trick to getting the crunch we all crave? Cook wings on a rack set over a baking sheet. This lets the heat circulate under and over the wings so they end up crispy outside and juicy inside. Give ’em a try then let us know what you think.
