Our Sun-Dried Tomato Pizza Pinwheels Recipe Is the Perfect Party Starter
Whenever we’re throwing a party, we love to put pinwheels on the menu. Whether filled with ham and cheese or smoked salmon and cream cheese, they’re an easy crowd-pleaser that’s even easier on the host since you can prep them ahead. We at the Woman’s World test kitchen decided to create a pizza version of this finger food favorite … because who doesn’t love pizza?! Our sun-dried tomato pizza pinwheels recipe is baked to ooey-gooey perfection and can be served warm out of the oven or at room temperature. Talk about easy entertaining!
Don’t have sun-dried tomatoes on hand? Not a problem! Simply swap out the sun-dried tomatoes for ¼ cup chopped pepperoni and continue with the recipe as directed. You can make it even leaner and use turkey pepperoni if you’d like. Let us know how you like them in the comments below.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 2 Tbs. plain dry breadcrumbs
- 1 (14.1 oz.) pkg. refrigerated pre-rolled pizza dough, such as Jus-Rol large family size pizza crust
- 1/2 cup drained sun-dried tomatoes in oil, chopped
- 1/2 cup shredded fontina cheese
- 2 Tbs. grated Parmesan + additional
Instructions
PrintHeat oven to 425°F. Line 2 rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper. In medium bowl, stir together pizza sauce and breadcrumbs. Unroll dough. Cut in half lengthwise. Spread each half with sauce mixture leaving 1/2 “ border along one long side. Top with sun-dried tomatoes, fontina and 2 Tbs. grated Parmesan.
Starting with one long side without border, roll up each dough jellyroll style; press edge to seal. Place seam side down on surface; cut each roll crosswise into 10 slices. Place cut side down on baking sheets; flatten to about 2 1/4” diameter.
Bake until baked through, about 15 min. Transfer to serving platter; sprinkle with additional Parmesan.
