Ree Drummond’s Granddaughter Spent the Weekend Watching Her on TV—See the Adorable Moment!

Update: Ree Drummond is still totally obsessed with grandma life! Ever since the 56-year-old television personality became a grandmother to baby Sofia, it’s safe to say she’s been living the dream in her “Grandma era”—and over the weekend, it looks like The Pioneer Woman star got to enjoy some quality time with her daughter Alex’s little bundle of joy!
In a video shared to her Instagram account over the weekend, Sofia looked comfy-cozy in her rocker facing the TV—and the on-screen entertainment was extra special. In an adorable, frilly pink onesie, little Sofia tuned in to an episode of The Pioneer Woman alongside the woman herself! “I don’t think Sofia liked my fig and prosciutto crostini this morning,” Ree joked in the caption of the post. “(I wonder if she thinks I’m there?? I HOPE SO!!).” While this cutie might be a tough critic, many flocked to the comments to dote on the little darling, who just recently celebrated 3 months, as well as share the love with her grandmother.
“This is so precious. I watched you when I was on maternity leave with my kids. Now they love helping and cooking with me in the kitchen. Thank you,” wrote one user. “So sweet. But tell her to quit growing so fast. You’ll soon be doing kid cooking on your show with a little sidekick,” said another. “Awww too cute!! She’s so lucky and blessed to have such a beautiful and talented Grandma,” another gushed.
Ree Drummond has had quite the year
According to Ree, grandma life wasn’t something she thought she was ready for, however, it’s clear that she’s adjusted to the role stunningly. “Since we just kind of became empty-nesters, Ladd and I feel like we just finished raising our kids—not even finished! A couple of them are in college, so we’re still raising our kids,” Ree told People about learning Alex would be having a baby. “We weren’t necessarily in a big rush to enter the grandparent stage,” she said. “I thought when I heard the news eventually, whenever that would be, that I would feel more, ‘Oh no, here it comes.’ But instead, what I think about most is—this is my honest answer—just how happy I am for my daughter and her husband.”
Since then, Ree has been enjoying every minute with Sofia. And her sweet new grandbaby isn’t the only blessing she’s enjoying these days! Ree is also getting ready to celebrate her other daughter, Paige, as she prepares to tie the knot in just two months! Just last month, Ree gave a glimpse into some pre-wedding celebrations, and her excitement was evident as her daughter and soon-to-be husband were joined by their friends and loved ones. “A beautiful weekend celebrating Paige and David! Wedding is two months away! I don’t have a dress yet but Paige does!!! Ain’t love grand?,” she wrote on Instagram. We can’t wait to see this next chapter in the Drummond family’s life!
