From St. Elsewhere and ER to Grey’s Anatomy and The Pitt, there’s no shortage of TV shows about hospitals. And while most of these shows fall into the genre of dramas, we’ve always loved Scrubs for its hilarious spin on the medical profession.

But it’s been nearly 15 years since you’ve seen your favorite doctors and nurses on screen at Sacred Heart Hospital. Fortunately, the stars of Scrubs are heading back to the hospital for the highly anticipated Scrubs reboot, which is set to premiere in just a few months.

About the ‘Scrubs’ revival

Since we’ve been waiting so long for our favorite characters to return to the screen, the Scrubs reboot is giving us not one, but two new episodes for the premiere on ABC on February 25, 2026 at 8 PM! Check out the sweetly nostalgic and hilarious teaser below!

In the teaser, Zach Braff returns as JD, shouting, “I’m back, baby!” as he meets with a new set of faces. When he’s greeted with blank stares, his friends and fellow doctors, Elliot and Turk, suggest he act more like a professional, intimidating doctor.

The teaser offers all of the same hilarious charm the original series had, drawing viewers in once more for a good watch. Fans shared their excitement in the comments of the teaser, writing, “If I had extraordinary willpower I could resist watching this reboot… but I’m no Superman” and “I rewatch Scrubs in its entirety once every year or so. I really hope this captures the magic of the original.”

Braff, too, shared his love for the show in the comments for the teaser posted to Instagram, writing, “I missed y’all so much it hurts sometimes.”

As for what the untitled revival is about, the official logline reads as below:

JD (Braff) & Turk (Faison) scrub in together for the first time in a long time—medicine has changed, interns have changed, but their bromance has stood the test of time. Characters new and old navigate the waters of Sacred Heart with laughter, heart and some surprises along the way.”

The original stars set to return for the reboot are Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, Judy Reyes and John C. McGinley. Other returning cast members are Robert Maschio and Phill Lewis. New cast members set to join the series are Vanessa Bayer, Joel Kim Booster, Ava Bunn, Jacob Dudman, David Gridley, Layla Mohammadi and Amanda Morrow.
