Is there anything better than a cozy British mystery? We’d argue no. Grantchester first debuted back in 2014 and introduced Geordie Keating, a police detective in the quiet village of Grantchester. Over the course of the series, he and the town’s resident vicar, played by a few different actors throughout the show, put their respective skills together to solve cases throughout their community, and in June, the final season of the series will debut. Here, read everything we know about the upcoming Season 11, hitting PBS Masterpiece this summer.
All about ‘Grantchester’ Season 11 and cast
Grantchester Season 11 will be the final installment of the beloved crime-solving series, and change is on the horizon for all of our favorite characters. Familiar faces like Robson Green and Rishi Nair will return in their roles as Geordie Keating and Reverend Alphy Kottaram. Fans can also expect to see Tessa Peake-Jones, Kacey Ainsworth, Oliver Dimsdale, Leonard Finch and more. Season 11 will take place in the village we’ve grown so familiar with during 1963, and the season is full of questions about the future.
For Alphy, a reconnection with his mother leads to discoveries about his past—and as his relationship evolves with Meg, there’s no saying what his future holds. Meanwhile, for Geordie, a tempting promotion offer could change everything about the life he’s built.

“It’s been on for 11 years and I think us as a team and the producers just felt like the show is in such a good place at the minute and sometimes it’s better to go out at the top,” Rishi Nair revealed to Yours Magazine about the final season.
In a sweet tribute posted on Instagram, Robson Green also shared a heartfelt message regarding the show’s conclusion. “As we step into the eleventh and final series, my heart is heavy with emotion but also filled with immense gratitude. It’s a bittersweet moment, knowing that we are bringing this beautiful journey to a close. Yet, amid the sadness, there is an overwhelming sense of happiness—happiness for the memories we’ve created, the stories we’ve told and the friendships that have blossomed along the way,” he wrote. “What has made this experience truly special is the genuine camaraderie and the shared joy of working together. The skill on display, the dedication to storytelling, and the warmth that radiates from everyone involved have made each day on set a joy.”
