Home Improvement dominated the airwaves throughout the 90s and cemented Tim Allen’s status as sitcom royalty in the years that followed. The series took us through the daily lives of the Taylor family, led by patriarch Tim, who hosted his own home improvement show, Tool Time, within the show. Home Improvement also put viewers smack dab in the middle of the Taylor family’s day-to-day, specifically, as they raised three sons. Though the show concluded in 1999, fans can relive the memories on the upcoming season of Allen’s current sitcom, Shifting Gears. A Home Improvement reunion is set to take place, with Allen, Patricia Richardson, Richard Karn and Debbe Dunning slated to appear on the show. In the decades since Home Improvement, check out where the cast has been leading up to their exciting homecoming.

One of the most beloved holiday film franchises, Allen was proving his worth in the world of family-oriented entertainment.

A year later, he voiced the iconic Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story (1995). After Home Improvement concluded in 1999, he continued his work in the Toy Story and Santa Clause film series, and even added other beloved films such as Christmas With the Kranks (2004) to his resume. In 2011, he stepped back into the sitcom world with Last Man Standing, which aired until 2021.
