It’s Not Like That, a new faith-based series premieres with its first two episodes dropping this Sunday, January 25, on Prime Video’s Wonder Project subscription. The show follows the lives of a recently widowed pastor raising three kids and a newly divorced mom of two teens.
Woman’s World has scored an exclusive clip from the second episode, teasing what’s to come! Titled “New Voices,” the episode sees Malcolm (Scott Foley) and Lori (Erinn Hayes) as they try to move ahead through congregation worries and dating opportunities. Meanwhile, Flora (Leven Miranda) skips therapy, Casey (Liv Lindell) seeks respect and Pen (Cassidy Paul) fails Justin (Cary Christopher).

What is ‘It’s Not Like That’ about?
If you haven’t heard of It’s Not Like That, you may be wondering what the series is about. This new drama, starring Scott Foley and Erinn Hayes, is a story of connection, second chances and learning how to navigate life after a major transition.
The official description for the series reads: “Malcolm is a pastor and recently widowed dad of three. Lori is freshly divorced with two teens. Their families once did everything together, but now Malcolm and Lori must navigate their newly minted singledom, parenthood and the complexities of Malcolm being a modern-day pastor. Is this the beginning of a love story? It’s not like that. Or is it?”
Who is starring in ‘It’s Not Like That’?
You may recognize star Scott Foley from his roles in Felicity (1998-2002), Scream 3 (2000), Scandal (2012-2018) and La Dolce Villa (2025). Now, the actor is taking on the role of a recently widowed pastor and father of three.
Foley is starring opposite Erinn Hayes, best known for her work in Children’s Hospital (2008-2016), Kevin Can Wait (2016-2017) and Grimsburg (2024-2025). Hayes recently spoke to Woman’s World regarding her role.
“I was so excited,” Hayes shared. “As my past resume will tell you, I am usually in comedies. And I love comedies, but I’ve always been very excited to step into other doors. Those are just the doors that had opened to me previously and people want to cast what they’ve seen before. So, I was so grateful for Ian [Deitchman] and Kristin [Robinson], our showrunners, and Scott [Foley], who was already brought on.”
The actors starring alongside the series leads include J.R. Ramirez as David Soto, Cary Christopher as Justin Jeffries, Leven Miranda as Flora Jeffries, Cassidy Paul as Penelope Jeffries, Caleb Baumann as Merritt Soto and Liv Lindell as Casey Soto.
