Teen drama My Life with the Walter Boys dominated the charts upon its release in December 2023, with fans falling for the characters just as they did with the smash hit series The Summer I Turned Pretty. Similarly, My Life with the Walter Boys was adapted from the romance novel of the same name, which was written and published by Ali Novak nearly 10 years prior to its premiere on Netflix.

Now, in 2025, fans are gearing up for the release of the second season of the drama series and patiently waiting to find out whether Jackie (Nikki Rodriguez) will leave Silver Falls, Colorado for good, or if she, Cole (Noah LaLonde) and Alex (Ashby Gentry) will work it out. See the newly released Season 2 trailer below!

Get the inside scoop on all things My Life with the Walter Boys, including when to expect season 2, who will be returning to the series and a first look at photos!

After Season 1 ended on the cliffhanger of Jackie leaving Colorado for New York City, fans were left wondering whether she would pursue things with Cole, continue her relationship with Alex (Ashby Gentry) or live on her own. The official synopsis for season 2 reads:

“After leaving Silver Falls following Alex’s love confession and her kiss with Cole, Jackie Howard spent the summer in New York City. When Katherine convinces her to return to Colorado, Jackie is determined to make amends with Alex and set boundaries with Cole while finding her place within the Walter family. But fitting back in isn’t that easy. Alex – who changed a lot over the summer – isn’t too thrilled about Jackie’s attempts to reconnect, as he’s focused on training for a risky rodeo event (and enjoying all of the new attention he’s getting).”

It continues, “Meanwhile, Cole takes on a new role at school, but when that doesn’t quite fill the void left by not playing football, his old ways creep back in and cause drama. As Jackie gains acceptance in Silver Falls while trying to hold onto her Howard identity, she’s forced to make a choice that could destroy everything she’s worked to rebuild.”

The show’s creator, Melanie Halsall, also shared some insight on what to expect.

Season 2 is bigger and better,” she says. “We’ve got massive set pieces in each episode and the stories are more intricate. We found our feet with our characters [and] the actors really understand their characters now. When I was coming back, I was excited to start shooting again because I knew we had great stories to tell.”

Rodriguez, who portrays Jackie, also spoke about what to expect for the character in the coming episodes.

“[Jackie is] trying to figure out where she belongs this season,” Rodriguez shared. “She’s definitely not trying to lose either side of herself and trying to make sure that they could coexist.”
