Bio-Oil Skincare Oil

Kristin Chenoweth has long raved about her love for her favorite drugstore body oil, Bio-Oil. It’s made to fade stretch marks and scars, but it’s been said to help a variety of skin concerns, even if it’s as simple as just wanting softer, more hydrated skin. “I’ll put Bio-Oil around my eyes and on any wrinkles on my face that I don’t love. I have been able to tell the difference when using that,” says Chenoweth of her secret to ageless skin. “I even have eczema on my legs and I put it there and it definitely makes a difference.” Other fans of the this oil include Marie Osmond and Hoda Kotb (both of which you’ll see more of their fave products below).

To treat her lips and add a touch of color, Chenoweth loves this pinky balm from Nivea. She said, “I’m addicted to Nivea chapstick in pink shimmer. I have one in every purse, every travel bag and I have one beside my bed.”

Vaseline is nothing new, but it’s been around for so long for a reason. And it’s also beloved by Dolly Parton, so you know it’s good! “I try all the new things that come out, but there’s nothing better than good old Vaseline,” she says.

Susan Lucci at 77 has gorgeous, voluminous hair. Her secret? I’ll comb my hair up in the front, roll it away from my face and pop three rollers right across the top of my head. Sometimes I’ll pop two along the sides with the rollers sort of facing a little towards the back, or, I’ll roll them straight down towards my ears. If you’d like to skip the foundation but still want a little bit of coverage and color, a tinted moisturizer is your go-to. “Unless I’m on stage, I don’t like to wear a ton of makeup, says Natalie Grant. “I’m not a big foundation person and I think sometimes the older we get, the more we think we need to cover up, but I actually think it makes people look older because they’re caking it on. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Instant Eraser Concealer

This multi-use concealer has a cult-following, and Amy Grant is one of them. “I don’t use overall foundation, but I’ll use something to lighten up my cheeks and across my nose, where my complexion is ruddier,” says Grant. “I just draw a line between my eyebrows, down the tip of my nose and then I’ll do triangles up my cheekbones and a little bit on my chin. It gets rid of dark circles. Right now I’m using Maybelline Age Rewind, it just lightens the middle of your face.” Another famous fans of this concealer is Marie Osmond (who shares her fave eyeliner below!).

As we get older, we tend to lose volume not just in our hair, but also when it comes to our lashes. To combat, try Reba McEntire’s lash go-to. When we asked what her favorite drugstore product is, she said, “Oh, definitely L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara. I’ve used it since I was on Annie Get Your Gun, in 2001, because one of the actors, dancers, told me about it.” Bonus: Eva LaRue (who you’ll see below) also told us she’s an avid user of this mascara.

Eyeliner is the tool to have in your makeup bag if you want extra definition around the eyes. Osmond loves a good eyeliner look and told us this Maybelline liner is her favorite. Best of all, it has a smudger on the opposite end that makes it a cinch to blend out any harsh lines.

Vallerie Bertinelli turns to this body oil by Neutrogena to keep her skin nourished and moisturized. “My absolute most favorite thing from a drugstore is the Neutrogena Body Oil,” she says. “I put that on after a shower every single day.” She also says that she loves “the way it smells, the sesame. That is my go-to for moisturizing my skin.”

Bertinelli says she loves a natural, sheer makeup look. “I do like this brand called Winky Lux. It’s a very sheer makeup that, if I do wear makeup on my own if I’m not working, I like that because it just feels more sheer,” she says.

This moisturizer from Weleda packs a powerful punch with plant extracts, including calendula, pansy, rosemary and chamomile. She told us, “they [SheaMoisture] do a coconut oil with an eye dropper and it’s for your face. I love coconut oil in all forms. I like it on everything. It’s a dropper and you put it in your hands and smush it all over your face, and I love that.”

It can be so frustrating waking up with puffy, swollen undereye bags. Thankfully nowaways, there are tons of undereye patches you can relax with to bring down the puffiness. Holly Robinson Peete’s favorite patches are these ones by Petitfee. “I stay over in the section that has the undereye pads,” she says. “I’m obsessed with those. This sounds really creepy, but there’s one I love [Petitfee’s] that’s made from snail excrement. Apparently snail excrement has these magical powers.” That’s because it’s packed with anti-inflammatory properties that ease puffiness.

Eva LaRue is a fan, telling us, “I get my favorite sunscreen from Walgreens which is by La Roche-Posay…it’s super, super light and it’s matte, instead of being greasy or white.”

Sometimes after a long, stressful day, all you need is a relaxing bath soak. This eyeliner costs less than a dollar, so it’s so easy to keep multiples on hand. Buy one for the car, your purse, the bathroom, etc. and you’re sure to always have a pencil on hand! Sherri Shepherd told us her favorite drugstore product is “eyeliner – a black eyeliner. I’ve been a fan of Wet n Wild since I was 16. So a kohl eyeliner, some mascara … do wonders for your eyes. It’ll perk up those eyes.”

When the warmer days are here, waterproof mascara should always be near! Whether you’re swimming or just simply breaking a sweat from the heat, waterproof mascara will keep it from smudging or running. Plus, it is said to hold the curl of your lashes better.
