Pizza Meatloaf

Pizza Mealoaf? Yes, please! We used jarred pizza sauce, spices and pre-sliced pepperoni to jazz up a comfort-food favorite.

  • ⅔ cup + ½ cup pizza sauce, from 14-oz. jar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. dried Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1½ lbs. ground beef
  • ½ cup sliced pepperoni, 2 oz., chopped
  • 1 onion, grated
  • 2 Tbs. shredded Parmesan cheese


  1. Coat 6-qt. slow cooker with cooking spray. Spread ⅓ cup sauce over bottom of slow cooker. In large bowl, beat eggs, ½ cup sauce, seasoning and garlic powder. Stir in breadcrumbs; let stand 1 min. Add beef, pepperoni and onion; stir gently until combined. Shape into loaf.
  2. Transfer loaf to slow cooker; spread remaining ⅓ cup sauce over top. Cover; cook on low until cooked through, 2½–3 hrs. Transfer meatloaf to platter. Skim and discard fat from slow cooker; spoon sauce around meatloaf. Top with cheese.
