Twix Candy Bar Mousse Cake Is A Chocolate-Lovers Dream
No one will guess this decadent showstopper comes together with only 5 ingredients
At the end of a steamy summer night, my sweet tooth calls for something chocolate. Cue this Twix Candy Bar Mousse Cake. It’s so easy with just 5 ingredients, from crispy Twix candy bars to rich dark chocolate chips and fresh raspberries. I like Ghirardelli chocolate chips as they melt smoothly, but Nestlé’s or Hersheys are also delicious. I love the look of the shiny coating on this cake, called ganache. Ganache is a fancy name for a heavy cream-chocolate glaze. I also like to spoon it over pound cake or as a swap for hot fudge on ice cream or even a dip for fresh fruit.

Ingredients
- 11/2 cups dark chocolate chips
- 11/2 cups + 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 2 Tbs. sugar
- 2 cups fresh raspberries, from 2 (6 oz.) pkgs.
- 15 Twix candy bars, from 4 (3.02 oz.) pkgs.
Instructions
PrintLine 8"x 4" decorative loaf pan with enough plastic wrap to overhang sides by about 3". In large microwave-safe bowl, mix 1 cup chocolate chips and ½ cup heavy cream; microwave in 15-sec. intervals, stirring, until melted and smooth; let cool.
On medium-high speed, beat 1 cup cream and sugar until stiff. Fold into chocolate mixture. Spread in pan. Arrange 1½ cups raspberries in single layer over top, pressing down lightly until level with mousse.
Reserve 2 Twix bars. Arrange remaining Twix bars, flat side up, over raspberries, cutting to fit as needed. Cover; chill until firm, 8 hrs. or up to overnight.
In microwave-safe bowl, mix remaining 1/2 cup chips and 1/3 cup cream. Microwave in 15-sec. intervals, stirring, until smooth; cool. Invert loaf pan onto platter; remove pan and plastic wrap. Spread chocolate mixture over cake. Cut reserved Twix bars into pieces. Garnish cake with Twix pieces and remaining raspberries.
