Ree Drummond’s Daughter Alex Is Pregnant Again! ‘Another Little Blessing Coming’

Alex Drummond Scott announces her pregnancy!
On Wednesday, March 4, Alex and her husband Mauricio announced they are expecting once again!
“Here we go again!! Another little blessing coming in September,” they wrote in a joint Instagram post. “Thank you Lord for our growing family! George [their golden retriever] is still processing the news.”
Naturally, Alex’s family went crazy, with her mother Ree commenting, “Ree Ree is just so happy! Love you guys!! Wheee!!!”
Alex’s younger sister Paige also joined in, writing, “Auntie upgrade. YAYYYYY I’m so excited.”
Following that, Ree took to her personal blog to share that she is “so happy for the Scotts!”
“This time last year, I was still in the fizzy honeymoon phase of becoming a new grandmother, and in the year since, I have blissfully swum around in the beautiful, sparkling sea of Sofia Scott and have delighted in every single moment I’ve gotten to spend with her,” Ree continued. “She is an absolute wonder and I love her so very much. And now she’s officially going to be the eldest daughter. I know she won’t understand all this means for some time, but man oh man…it will be so fun to watch. The new baby is due September 21 (my and Ladd’s wedding anniversary!) so we have a few months to keep getting more and more excited.”
As of publication, Alex hasn’t shared the child’s gender, but Ree promised there will be some sort of reveal in the near future.
“There’ll be lots of fun things to come, including a gender reveal (you might remember their last one!!), which probably won’t be anything elaborate but I actually can’t wait,” Ree wrote. “Despite the fact that I strongly advised Alex and Mauricio to wait and be surprised, Alex ain’t wired that way.”

Alex was pregnant with her first daughter Sofia for most of 2024, giving birth in December 2024, a moment Ree said made her explode “with happiness.”
“Alex did great, and so did Mauricio. We arrived in Dallas and got to see them in the hospital just as Alex was transitioning from latent to active labor, and it was so wonderful to see how much they love and support each other,” the celebrity chef continued. “Sofia was born around 2:30 in the morning, and she is perfect. I’m saying that with as much objectivity as I can. But I’m not kidding…she is perfect. Like, if you looked up ‘perfect’ in Merriam-Webster, it would reference Sofia Scott, and maybe even show a photo of her.”
