‘Toofie Alert’: See Baby Sofia’s Viral FaceTime Moment With Grandma Ree Drummond

Baby Sofia, daughter of Alex Drummond Scott and Mauricio Scott, has hit another milestone, and her grandma Ree Drummond—a.k.a The Pioneer Woman—has the super sweet pictures to prove it. We show you the photo and walk you through the adorable moment, below!
Baby Sofia steals the show on FaceTime
This past weekend, Ree took to her Instagram story to share with her 4.4 million followers that her 8-and-a-half-month-old granddaughter, Sofia, was officially teething. She even posted a picture of Sofia on FaceTime, which showed Sofia had a huge smile on her face, revealing both how happy the baby was to see her grandma “ReeRee” and how small her incoming teeth are.
“Saturday morning Facetime,” the caption read. “Toofie alert.”
Sofia’s mother, Alex (Ree’s daughter), then joined in on the fun by reposting the story and adding the caption, “Sofia had to show ReeRee her new toofies!!!”
A look at Baby Sofia’s other milestones
At just 8-and-a-half months old, Sofia has already achieved several milestones, including her first Easter, her Fourth of July, her first beach trip, her first time in church and her first time seeing her grandmother on TV, among many others.
“Blinked and this squishy princess is halfway to one,” Alex wrote on Instagram back in June to celebrate Sofia’s 6-month birthday. “Wishing I could pause time right here for a little bit. Thank you, Lord, for our sweet, sweet Sofia!”
Sofia will celebrate her first birthday on December 18 of this year. While no birthday party plans have been shared as of publication, given how loved she is by every single member of the Drummond clan, we can assume it’s going to be a massive blowout that will be documented on both Alex and Ree’s social media accounts.
“She [Sofia] is perfect,” Ree wrote on her website after Sofia was born last year. “I’m saying that with as much objectivity as I can. But I’m not kidding…she is perfect. Like, if you looked up ‘perfect’ in Merriam-Webster [dictionary], it would reference Sofia Scott and maybe even show a photo of her.”
