Lacey Chabert is set to take the lead in the all-new Hallmark series Paris Is Always a Good Idea, hitting Hallmark+ on July 30—and we couldn’t be any more excited. Chabert is no stranger to the Hallmark world, having built her own little empire on the network over the last few years as one of their most talented leading ladies. Earlier this year, she starred in Lost in Paradise opposite Ian Harding, and the 43-year-old actress is already set to star in a film part of the 2026 Countdown to Christmas, Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True.

In Paris Is Always a Good Idea, Chabert stars as Chelsea, an ambitious woman who heads to Paris alongside her coworker Jason (Scott Michael Foster) to lock down a donor for their nonprofit. While in Europe, a shocking message from her late mother sends her on an unexpected adventure, retracing the steps of her time spent in Europe years prior to reconnect with the lovers of her past.

This series is sure to be full of heart, laughs and good old fashioned Hallmark charm, and we can’t wait to see these stars shine. Here, a look at the Paris Is Always a Good Idea cast, led by Lacey Chabert.

Lacey Chabert will star in Paris Is Always a Good Idea, and fans can’t wait to see what’s in store for her character. The actress has been starring on Hallmark for years, leaving her mark on dozens of films alongside countless actors—but this is the first time we’ll see her shine alongside Scott Michael Foster! In a post shared by Hallmark+ on Instagram, many shared the love for Lacey in the comments, proving that she’s the perfect woman to bring this character to life.

“Hallmark is adapting so many of the books I read this summer, I’m so here for it! (Also, Lacey is always a favorite to watch!),” wrote one user

Scott Michael Foster might not be as familiar of a face on the Hallmark Channel, but he has shown his stuff in films such as In the Key of Love (2019) and most recently, Return to Office (2025) alongside Janel Parrish. Outside of Hallmark, he’s known for his work on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

Rebecca Hanssen as Annabelle

Rebecca Hanssen will bring Chelsea’s younger sister Annabelle to life, and viewers may recognize her for her work in The Witcher. Rebecca shared a sweet behind-the-scenes post on Instagram a few weeks back in honor of filming concluding, and the bond between her and Lacey Chabert seems to extend beyond the screen!

Last day filming Paris is Always a Good Idea. I’m going to miss this family so much, led by our incomparable queen @thereallacey. Thanks for the best 2.5 months @hallmarkplus and the enormous team of superheroes who made this possible.”

Alejandro Albarracin, an actor who hails from Spain, will play Marcos in the film. As he makes his Hallmark debut, the actor opened up about the experience of filming a series entirely in English in a post shared to his Instagram.

It’s not easy to interpret in a language you don’t know. There are so many things that are out of your control. But, even knowing it, this time I proposed: enjoy it, with all that it entails. And for someone as demanding and controlling as I am, that was, in itself, a great challenge,” he shared.

“I’m glad to tell you that I got it, I enjoyed it, and you can’t imagine how much. But mostly, it’s because my peers couldn’t be better. And especially @thereallacey, who carries the weight of the whole project. Thank you Lacey for your closeness, your sense of humor and your truth in your gaze. How lucky I was to work alongside you.” How sweet!

Barbara Niven as Sherrie
