‘The Madison’ Stars Share Season 2 News and If The’ve Met Taylor Sheridan (Exclusive)
Kevin Zegers, Beau Garrett, Rebecca Spence and Ben Schnetzer reveal exclusive behind-the-scenes moments
It’s almost time for the premiere of The Madison, and to celebrate, Woman’s World sat down with several cast members to learn what they think of the show, if they’ve met Taylor Sheridan and if there were any Season 2 updates! To learn what they had to say, read on.
‘The Madison’ cast talks about the show
The Madison follows the Clyburn family after they move from New York City to Madison, Montana.
“Michelle Pfeiffer’s character, Stacy, is leading her family through this whole thing,” cast member Kevin Zegers, who plays Cole Harris in The Madison, tells Woman’s World, “And if anything, the men on the show are just trying to be in service of her, as opposed to trying to fix it for her. And in the show, you find something that translates to something that you’ve got going on in your own life. That was the most rewarding part for me.”
Other cast members agree with that feeling, with Beau Garrett, who plays Abigail Reese, saying, “It’s just very surreal.”
“I’m pretty proud of myself and this team of people,” the actress continued. “I’ve never, ever been part of something quite as cool as this.”
‘The Madison’ cast reveals if they’ve met Taylor Sheridan
The Madison was created by Taylor Sheridan, who also created the Yellowstone universe and Landman, but according to Rebecca Spence, who plays Liliana Weeks in the show, she’s actually never met him.
“I’m very excited to do so,” she said. “He, obviously, has many projects going on and I think he very wisely let our director, Christina Alexandra Voros, really helm the show. It was very smart of him to let a woman run a matriarch story. She is such a special director, and really knows how to tell a story and does it in such a loving, generous way. I think Taylor had complete and full trust in her, and allowed her to really lead the ship. But, I’m excited to meet him and thank him for this opportunity. Being on the show was so thrilling and I can’t believe I’m sitting here, to be honest.”
Ben Schnetzer, who plays Van Davis, had a different experience, saying that he had met him, but not for very long.
“He’s really, as Rebecca said, a busy guy and it was very clear from early on that he really wanted the writing to speak for itself,” Schnetzer explained. “And, you know, he and Christina have such a kind of kismet relationship, and he has so much trust that we felt the show was in good hands.”
‘The Madison’ cast shares some Season 2 news
Prior to the release of Season 1, it was revealed that The Madison Season 2 was officially happening.
“We shot Season 2 already,” Schnetzer reveals. “We just wrapped it not long ago and I’m incredibly excited to share both seasons with an audience. It was a real thrill to be able to come back and revisit these characters and revisit this story, and revisit this beautiful landscape that we filmed in.”
“Working on this show was as fun as you would imagine,” he continued. “Being able to learn from and work with these folks was an absolute gift. It was such a thrill and so much fun and so enriching. They’re so good at what they do, and it’s challenging, but they also make sure that you show up to work feeling confident, which was a real highlight of this job for me.”
