‘The Madison’ Premiere Date Revealed—See Michelle Pfeiffer in Taylor Sheridan’s New Western
Taylor Sheridan's modern Montana drama finally has a premiere date—and the cast lineup is stunning
After months of growing anticipation, Taylor Sheridan fans finally have their first look at the new modern day Montana western The Madison, starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell. And if that wasn’t enough, Paramount also just revealed when TV lovers can expect to stream the highly anticipated show. To learn more, read on.
What is ‘The Madison’ about?
Announced in August 2024, The Madison—originally titled 2024—follows a New York City family who decides to move to the Madison River Valley in Montana. It will take place after the Yellowstone Season 5 finale, though, as of now, no Duttons are involved with the show. This is quite a shift from Sheridan’s other series—Yellowstone, 1883, 1923 and 1944—all of which feature the family and their cattle ranch.
However, since the show does take place in modern-day Montana, there is a chance that Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly), Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser), Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) and more might show up.

According to the press release obtained by Woman’s World, The Madison is expected to be “Sheridan’s most intimate work to date, unfolding across two distinct worlds—the beautiful landscape of Montana and the vibrant energy of Manhattan—as it examines the ties that bind families together.”
Who’s in the cast of ‘The Madison’?
As of publication, the cast will include Patrick J. Adams as Russell McIntosh, Elle Chapman as Paige McIntosh, Matthew Fox as Paul, Kevin Zegers as Cade Harris, Rebecca Spence as Liliana Weeks, Beau Garrett as Abigail Reese, Ben Schnetzer as Van Davis, Amiah Miller as Brigitte Reese, Alaina Pollack as Macy Reese and Danielle Vasinova as Kestrel Harris. How their roles are connected to the story has yet to be announced.
For most of them, this is the first time they have worked on a Sheridan project, except for Vasinova, who did appear in two episodes of 1923 Season 2 as Ata Waipa. In The Madison, though, she will play an entirely different character named Kestrel Harris.

Also joining the cast is Kurt Russell, who will bring the role of Preston Clyburn to life, and Michelle Pfeifer, who will play Stacy Clyburn.
“Michelle Pfeiffer is a remarkable talent who imbues every role with emotional depth, authenticity and grace,” Chris McCarthy, the Paramount Global co-CEO and the president and CEO of Showtime and MTV Entertainment Studios, said in a statement. “She is the perfect anchor to the newest chapter of the Yellowstone universe, The Madison, from the brilliant mind of Taylor Sheridan.”
Along with acting, Pfeiffer will also serve as an executive producer.
When will ‘The Madison’ premiere?

The Madison is expected to make its streaming debut on Paramount+ on March 14 and, according to the press release, the “six-episode first season of The Madison is a heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana.”
Is there going to be a second season?
It was recently reported by several different outlets, including Deadline, that there would be a second season of The Madison, despite the fact that Season 1 is a couple of months from its debut. It’s believed that this news is a result of Sheridan’s new 450,000 square foot production studio in Fort Worth, Texas, which would serve as home base.
