Dallas Jenkins and Amanda Jenkins: the heart behind the vision
Creator, director and writer of The Chosen, Dallas Jenkins and his wife, Amanda just celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary. The duo has four children, and they cherish all of their time together.
Dallas and Amanda are the backbone of The Chosen series, and Amanda often notes how proud she is of her husband’s success. She wrote in a recent Instagram post: “Proud of who this man is even when no one’s looking. He loves Jesus and leads our family well. He loves me well. Thankful for whatever God has in store for us in the years to come.”
Noah James and Norma Jean Marie’s Malibu wedding magic
Noah, who plays Andrew, married Norma Jean Marie in 2022 in Malibu, California.
On the couple’s first wedding anniversary, Noah shared photos from the wedding day and wrote: “We had spent a year planning the day together, and there was an infinite amount of things to take care of and pay attention to. But as soon as we walked up to the ceremony area at @calamigosevents, I was completely stunned by how amazing and beautiful everything looked. All the stress melted away, and I couldn’t wait to marry @normajeanmarie. It was the best day of my life and we tried to soak up EVERY second of it.”
George H. Xanthis and Christie: from John to Dad
George, who portrays John, and his wife, Christie Xanthis keep their family out of the public eye, but the actor shares sweet tidbits occasionally on social media. The duo tied the knot in February 2022 and welcomed their first child in 2024.
Giavani Cairo and Bella Michaels: an Italian proposal
Giavani Cairo, who plays Thaddeus in The Chosen, began dating news anchor Bella Michaels in early 2024.
In June 2025 while in Italy, Giavani popped the question, and now the couple is engaged. In an Instagram caption, Bella wrote: “best day ever!!! #ENGAGED”
The announcement of their engagement was met with much excitement from many of Giavani’s castmates.
Elizabeth Tabish and Stan Mayer: porch swings and quiet joy
Playing the role of Mary Magdalene in The Chosen, Elizabeth Tabish, is married to playwright and actor Stan Mayer.
The couple stays mostly private, but she shares the occasional sweet photo on social media, and she opened up about their relationship in an interview with FIRST for Women — where Elizabeth said she eases much of her tension by spending time with her husband. “We love taking walks in our neighborhood,” she says. “We love listening to music in the morning and sitting on our front porch swing.”
She also noted that they maintain open communication. “We talk about our dreams and our memories,” she says. “Having a partner who cares so much about my interior life and where my heart is at is something that I’m deeply grateful for. That brings me a lot of joy.”
Jordan Walker Ross and Stacy Ross: family on and off set
Jordan Walker Ross, who portrays Jesus’ disciple Little James in The Chosen is married to Stacy Ross. The duo has three children, and he’s often posted on social media thanking her for her years of support.
While filming Season 5, Stacy and their oldest daughter visited the set to watch Jordan film flashback scenes about Little James’ backstory in Part 3. Jordan noted that it was special having them on set!
Abe Bueno-Jallad and Lucy James: a new baby and big love
Abe Bueno-Jallad, who plays the role of Big James, married freelance hairstylist Lucy James in a romantic wedding in 2023.
The sweet couple welcomed a baby boy in June 2024.
Austin Reed Alleman and Hayley Clark: quiet support and red carpet moments
Austin, who portrays Nathanael in The Chosen has been dating Hayley, a professional dancer, for many years. Not much is known about their relationship, but Hayley is very supportive of Austin’s career and has attended several of The Chosen premieres.
Jonathan Roumie: ‘I am not married to anyone’
Roumie, who plays Jesus, has notably often commented on his singleness as fans have previously stated he was married with a child. “According to the internet, I am married to a woman named Diane in Canada. None of that is true,” Roumie laughs as he sets fans straight. “I don’t know who that person is. I don’t know where that came from. I am not married to anyone.”
Roumie says he sees being single as a gift and a time for reflection and growth, rather than a season of life to endure or be rushed out of.
