In 2023, fans were first introduced to the Landry women at the helm of Hallmark’s hit drama series The Way Home. The show followed three generations of women, starting with Andie MacDowell’s Del and continuing with her daughter, Kat, played by Chyler Leigh, followed by Kat’s daughter, Alice, played by Sadie Laflamme-Snow. When Kat and Alice move in with Del, tensions are high between the Landry matriarch and her daughter. As we come to learn, their past is haunted by a family tragedy. Upon exploring her grandmother’s property, Alice discovers a pond, and when she accidentally falls in, she finds herself transported decades earlier, where she meets a young version of her mother and grandmother. As the series progresses, relationships form and evolve, these three generations of women grow and their bond changes in ways they never could have imagined. What is ‘The Way Home’ Season 4 going to be about?
At the beginning of Season 4, change is on the horizon for the Landry women. For Alice, her high school graduation lies ahead. For Kat, she and Elliot are looking ahead at the future of their relationship. As for Del, she’s anticipating being an empty nester with Alice and Kat forging their own paths—but as is often the case with The Way Home, the past finds a way to bring this trio together. Executive producers Heather Conkie and Alexandra Clarke revealed in conversation with People that the Landry women still have unanswered questions about the past, and their pursuit for answers in this upcoming season takes them all the way back to the 1920s.
“It’s a world of decadent deco glitz and dark dangerous shadows, where flappers and bootleggers run rampant, and a very special member of the Landry family tree is waiting to propel our characters into harrowing new adventures in their quest to seek answers to mysteries still unsolved,” they revealed. The duo also added that this fourth season is “filled with suspense, laughter, heart and heartbreak. Questions may be answered—but at unexpected and life-changing costs. It’s a season that will ultimately remind us all that there is no greater love, no greater gift, and no greater power than that of family.”
Who is going to be in ‘The Way Home’ Season 4?
In The Way Home Season 4, fans can expect to see the three leading ladies taking charge, as well as familiar faces, including Evan Williams and Spencer MacPherson. Julia Tomasone, Jordan Doww and Devin Cecchetto will also be returning to the series, while newcomers Gabriel Hogan, Dan Jeannotte and Bianca Melchior join the final season.
