It’s time to saddle up and head back to Silver Falls, Colorado, because Netflix just dropped the trailer for Season 3 of My Life with the Walter Boys and it looks juicier than ever. After ending the second season on a major cliffhanger, with confessions hanging in the air between Jackie, Cole and Alex, the third season trailer promises to stir up the same amount of drama, chaos and obsession as the first two seasons.

Based on the novel of the same name by Ali Novak, the first 20 episodes slightly differed from the stories told in the books. While the key plot points of the first book and first season were the same, the stories diverged. When the second season aired, it was clear the show and books had gone in entirely different directions. However, after getting a glimpse of the third season trailer, it seems the two might be syncing up again.

The trailer hints at complicated feelings

If you haven’t yet seen the trailer for Season 3 of My Life with the Walter Boys (MLWTWB), or you need to dissect it further, you can view it below.

Complicated feelings are the name of the game when it comes to young adult dramas like this Netflix series, so it’s no surprise that the Season 3 trailer highlights that. It’s not just confusion for Jackie (Nikki Rodriguez) and Cole (Noah LaLonde), but for all of the Walter’s and their friends.

After the entire second season focused on the friendship between Jackie and Cole, it seems this trailer is potentially promising for more romantic moments between the two, which is what much of the second book was about. Though, it’s clear they still have a complicated relationship, especially after Jackie was with Cole’s brother, Alex (Ashby Gentry).

But the confusion doesn’t stop for the two stars. Alex seems to be in a pickle of his own as his best friend, Kiley (Mya Lowe), begins dating football star, Dylan (Kolton Stewart). Although Alex only seemed to look at her as a friend, the second season showed a hint of jealousy in his eyes. Plus, for those who have read the second book, you know that Alex and Kiley fall for each other and begin dating, so it’s possible their friendship may continue to waver.

Cole starts racing

For a quick refresher, when MLWTWB began, fans met Cole after his football-ending accident occurred, which altered his entire world. He was ready to go off to college on a scholarship for the game, but after the accident, Cole had to learn to live without the game. In Season 2, fans could see him struggling internally about moving on and what to make of his life post-football, which it seems he’s ready to do in Season 3.

In the second book, it’s no surprise when Cole gets into race car driving, as he already works with cars for a job at Tony’s Garage and spent the first season working on his own. It seems the Season 3 trailer will dive into that storyline as Cole gets behind the wheel and begins to find a new passion that he can channel his athleticism into.

There’s someone new in town

While he wasn’t a part of the books, a new character, Eliot (Naveen Paddock), and old friend of Jackie’s shows up to the ranch with her Uncle Richard. Despite Jackie’s love life already being complicated with two Walter brothers, this new addition of Eliot, or Mr. Harvard as Cole refers to him in the trailer, is likely to stir up more confusion for her.

Be sure to tune into Season 3 of My Life with the Walter Boys and catch all of the drama on August 6, only on Netflix!
