Plane Passengers Write Love Poems on Air Sickness Bags, Airline Offers Free Tickets
We don’t know about you, but we don’t usually associate air sickness bags with romance. But according to one British airline, many customers use its “sickie” bags for writing love poems. Though it might seem strange at first, we have to say it’s a much sweeter thought than the idea of losing our cookies on a turbulent flight.
It looks like the airline in question, easyJet, agrees with us, because the company just announced an amazing deal for these “lovesick” passengers: If they write a love poem on an easyJet airsick bag, they’ll be entered for a chance to win a free pair of tickets to anywhere in easyJet’s network. (Unsurprisingly, the company prefers bags that have not been used.)
It sounds perfect for the customers of easyJet, especially because the airline found that 29 percent of their Flight Club members are currently in long distance relationships (no wonder they’re eager to travel so much all the time!).
The campaign, which runs until the end of February, asks inspired customers to take a photo of their bags and post it to Instagram or Twitter, tagging @easyjet and using the hashtag #LoveSickSonnets.
Judging by some of the posts that have gone up so far, it looks like folks out there are getting really creative — and really romantic.

How sweet is it that this is all happening just in time for Valentine’s Day? We can’t wait to see what everyone else comes up with by the time the campaign is over. Whoever wins these tickets will certainly make their loved one very happy.
All this talk of love nearly makes us want to write a few poems of our own — but we’ll pass on the air sickness bags this time around!
