Crispy Chili-Spiced Sweet Potato Fries Recipe Preps for the Air-Fryer in Just 15 Minutes
Our creamy dipping sauce pairs perfectly with these kicked-up spuds that are almost guilt-free.
Sweet potato fries are a delicious alternative to regular fries. And when baked instead of deep-fried, they make a healthier choice for a side. Trouble is, sometimes the baked version doesn’t turn out quite as crisp as we’d like. That’s why for our Chili-Spiced Sweet Potato Fries recipe, we put our air fryer to work.
This handy device does a great job in achieving that crispy texture we all love. But we have a few prep tricks for even more deliciously crunchy results. First, cut the spuds into same-size sticks. Be sure to pat them dry, then spritz with cooking spray instead of coating with oil. Next, for a zingy kick, we sprinkled our fries with chili powder. Spread the fries in a single layer and cook in batches if necessary. That way they cook up evenly. Then we paired our Chili-Spiced Sweet Potato Fries recipe with a kicked-up yogurt dipping sauce.
