Meet the Fierce Women of the ‘Marshals’ Cast Bringing Strength to the ‘Yellowstone’ Spinoff
From Bronx grit to Montana horse country, meet Andrea and Belle—the women making 'Marshals' must‑watch TV
Though we’re only two episodes in, Marshals has already proven to be chock full of action, drama and intriguing characters. The Yellowstone spinoff series centers around the youngest member of the Dutton clan, Kayce, as he closes his chapter on his family’s ranch and embarks on a new journey when he joins an elite crew of U.S. Marshals dedicated to keeping the state of Montana safe. By his side is a group of team members with their own set of demons and baggage to overcome, and while we love the hunks of Marshals, it’s the fierce ladies leading the way whose stories we’re excited to dive into. Here, get to know the women bringing to life Taylor Sheridan’s latest spinoff, Marshals.
Ash Santos as Andrea Santos: from the Bronx to Big Sky
Andrea Santos is one of two powerful women within this U.S. Marshals crew. Portrayed by Ash Santos, whose previous credits include Taylor Sheridan’s Mayor of Kingstown, Pulse and FBI: Most Wanted, Andrea is a Marshal who’s something of a fish out of water in Montana. With her character originally being from the Bronx, Montana isn’t a place she sees herself long-term, but despite this, she gives this job her all, taking pride in protecting the place she currently calls home. In real life, Ash Santos is pretty different from her Marshals character, but revealed that some similarities made her feel truly connected to Andrea—for example, Andrea and Ash are both from the Bronx and both have fathers in law enforcement, the actress revealed to Country Living.

“I really feel like this character came to me at a time in my life when I needed her, and she has brought me so much strength,” Santos told the publication. “And so playing her really feels like a privilege because I take away so much from her that I then use in my own life.”
Arielle Kebbel as Belle Skinner: a horse-breeding legacy with a secret
Arielle Kebbel is an actress who’s been shining on screen for quite a while, first making a name for herself in the 2000s on series like Gilmore Girls and The Vampire Diaries and in films like Aquamarine (2006) and John Tucker Must Die (2006). Now, she’s shining alongside Luke Grimes on his new team of U.S. Marshals as Belle Skinner. Similar to Kayce, Belle comes from a prominent family in Montana known for breeding horses, though she asks him to keep her identity a secret. Previously, she worked with the ATF.

“Belle comes from a very wealthy, highly publicized family,” Kebbel explained to TV Insider. “She carries her family’s secrets and has a path that she keeps very secret. She’s not sure who she can trust. Having this job, she worries about her family and how to protect them. She appears to be put-together, but inside, she’s an adrenaline junkie trying to find her outlet. Something I love is the feminine aspect to her. In my own life, as much as I love the adrenaline, I’m settling into embracing the quiet, feminine energy and how powerful that can be.”
As Marshals continues to unfold, these remarkable women are proving that strength, vulnerability and determination make for the most compelling television. Whether they’re chasing down criminals across Montana’s rugged terrain or confronting their own inner demons, Andrea and Belle remind us that the most powerful journeys are the ones where we discover who we truly are. We can’t wait to see where their stories take them next.
