Garlicky Collard Greens
Southern lore says these greens bring good fortune — and this easy recipe is a yummy way to reap the perks.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. collard greens (6-7 cups)
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1/2 c. red onion slivers
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. chicken broth
- 1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
Instructions
PrintChop collard greens; reserve. Peel and mince garlic.
Heat oil in large, deep skillet over medium heat. Add onion slivers, pepper, and minced garlic. Cook until onion is tender and garlic is fragrant, about 5 min., stirring occasionally.
Add half of collard greens to skillet; cook until greens are wilted, 1-2 min.; stirring. Add remaining greens; repeat cooking. Add broth; bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer until greens are tender, 20-30 min. Stir in vinegar and serve.
