Spook up your Halloween spread this year without spending hours in the kitchen decorating themed cupcakes. Although we’re sure the creepy cookies and cupcakes are appreciated, and rightly devoured, dress up your drinks to really make a statement at your party. This delicious decoration is good for kid-friendly punches and adult cocktails alike: worm-infested ice cubes for serving. Gummy worms, that is.

The day before your party, simply place gummy worms in empty ice cube molds--whatever size and shape you want. The effect is creepier if you have some of them poking up above where the ice will be so their heads and tails are coming out of people’s drinks every which way. Simply pour water over the gummies as usual and stick in the freezer. Toss a couple in a glass before pouring your guests’ cocktails. And, for a bit of a taste surprise, use sour gummy worms instead of regular.

The candy flavors will accept fruity cocktails and non-alcoholic punches nicely. Plus, everyone will get a sweet surprise at the bottom of their sips, all in no more time than it would take you to prep ice normally. It’s scary how much we love this idea.
