Chocolate-Glazed Orange Bundt Cake Recipe Makes It Easy to Wow Without the Work

Serve this bundt at your next spring event. Plus, learn how to make homemade chocolate leaves!

Looking for an easy dessert that will wow a crowd? We have to share the perfect flavor combination you may have been missing: rich chocolate and citrusy orange. This delightfully decadent chocolate-glazed orange bundt cake recipe looks picture-perfect and comes together in one bundt pan. Plus, oranges add a range of nutritional benefits, including high vitamin C content and antioxidant properties.

For the perfect final flourish, we topped our bundt with chocolate leaves. They’re easy to make with these tips from the Woman’s World test kitchen: First, melt ¼ cup of dark cocoa candy melts per package directions. Next, using a small brush, paint a thin coating of the candy over the bottoms of a few bay leaves. Then chill until set, 15–20 min. Carefully peel off the bay leaves. Finally, place the chocolate leaves on the cake as desired, and voilà! For more ideas, check out these recipes for Lemon Mini Bundt Cakes and Chocolate Caramel Bundt Cake. • 1 (15.25 oz.) pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 1 (3.4 oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • ⅓ cup sour cream
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 Tbs. grated orange zest
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • 1½ cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • ⅓ cup white chocolate chips, melted
  • Whipped cream, chocolate leaves, mandarin orange segments, orange zest curls and fresh mint leaves (optional)

Heat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour 10-cup Bundt pan. On low speed, combine cake mix, pudding mix, orange juice, sour cream, eggs, zest and ⅓ cup water; beat 30 sec.; on medium, beat 2 min. Pour batter into pan.

Bake until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean, about 40 min. Let cool in pan 15 min. Transfer from pan to rack; let cool completely.

Line rimmed baking sheet with wax paper; place rack on top. Place cake on rack. In pot over medium heat, bring cream just to a boil. Remove from heat; add semisweet chocolate. Let sit until melted; stir until smooth. Let cool slightly. Pour chocolate sauce evenly over cake to cover. Let stand until set. Drizzle with white chocolate. If desired, garnish with whipped cream, chocolate leaves, orange segments, orange zest curls and mint leaves.
