Harrison Ford as Dr. Paul Rhoades

Harrison Ford is an award-winning actor most people know from the Indiana Jones series, the Star Wars universe and the hit Taylor Sheridan show 1923. In Shrinking he plays Dr. Paul Rhoades, a veteran therapist who’s battling Parkinson’s disease. He is expected to return for Season 4, which was a relief to fans, since at the end of Season 3 Paul was seen parting ways with mentee James ‘Jimmy’ Laird (Jason Segel).

“I would be insane not to find a way for Harrison Ford to be in the show in perpetuity. He is not disappearing,” showrunner and executive producer Bill Lawrence told Deadline in April of this year. “We’re gonna jump ahead a couple years and see where everybody’s at, and we have a new story to tell. [Harrison Ford] will be part of it. He’s not leaving.”

Ford is 83 years old and has been married to Calista Flockhart since 2010. He has five children.

Jason Segel as James ‘Jimmy’ Laird

Jason Segel first became a household name thanks to his role as Marshall Eriksen on How I Met Your Mother, but over the years he’s built a career balancing broad comedy with more emotionally grounded performances. Along with films like Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008), The Muppets (2011) and This Is 40 (2012), Segel has increasingly taken on projects that blend humor with vulnerability—something that makes him a natural fit for Shrinking.

On the series, Segel plays Jimmy Laird, a grieving therapist trying to rebuild his life after the death of his wife, a role he’ll reprise when the show returns for Season 4.

“Maybe it’s time for Jimmy to try to have some fun,” Segel teased to The Hollywood Reporter in April of this year. “We’ve seen Jimmy going through it, but it’s been with an emotional twisted ankle. We need to see him run a little bit and break out.”

Segel is 46 years old and engaged to Kayla Radomski.

Jessica Williams as Gaby Evans

Before transitioning into acting full-time, Williams also gained attention as a correspondent on The Daily Show.

On Shrinking, she plays Gaby Evans, a close friend and colleague of Paul’s who quickly became one of the show’s standout characters. Williams is expected to return for Season 4.

The actress is 36 years old and originally from Los Angeles, California.

Luke Tennie as Sean

Tennie is 31 years old and originally from Chicago, Illinois.

“I would love Liz to know that her value isn’t only about being a mom. I know she’s looking for things to do and I think it’s great. I think your world should get bigger as you get older, and you should find all these passions,” Miller teased to the Gold Derby in May of this year. “But I think as Liz, trusting these friendships and relationships is enough.”

Miller is 62 years old and has been married to Bill Lawrence since 1999. They have three children together.

He also became one of the most outspoken Parkinson’s advocates, which is appropriate given that he was diagnosed with the disease in 1991. In Shrinking he plays Gerry, a Parkinson’s patient who befriends Paul. There is no word on if he’s going to be in Season 4, but Fox has said that if given the chance he would love to return.

“I love Bill [Lawrence] and I’m so happy it’s a success. And it’s such a great time being with those actors,” he told People earlier this year. “”It’s so important to me to have that to go to. And I would absolutely do that in a heartbeat.”

Fox is 64 and has been married to Tracy Pollan since 1988. They have four children.
